Just loved this quick, hot and steamy read. The chemistry between these two characters were incredible. I loved both main characters, wish I could've got to know them more but being that this book has only like 32 pages its not bad. I look forward to seeing more from the authors other books along with the next book in the Taking Advantage (Series?). Definitely recommend this great read!
Got to love a man that goes after what he wants and we definitely get that with John Dorsey. Yum! There's no question what he wants and boy did he make me melt. I love Romance on the Go reads from Evernight Publishing. There's nothing slow about these titles, they are quick to entertain and keep you engaged. I'm an instant fan of Jessica Jayne. I'll be reading more of her stories for sure.
What a HOT steamy short read . We all dream of Men Like John walking into our lives for sure.
Him and Elizabeth can not deny the connection they immediately feel towards each other once they meet.John is determined he is going to have her and Elizabeth's body can't deny the attraction towards him as well. Take the journey with them as they Meet and Have their First Steamy night together.
I know this is Taking Advantage #1 So I am hoping we get more steaminess from John and Elizabeth.

This is a short, sweet interlude. It's an instant attraction story, so you don't get a lot of buildup. John and Elizabeth see each other at a board meeting and are instantly attracted to each other. A brief, searing kiss has them planning a date that escalates quickly. The sex is hot. I didn't care for the repetitive nature of the wording. A little variation in some of the words used would have been a little less distracting. But the story was still hot and will get your engine running. I purchased the book from a publisher during a sale after having my eye on it for a while and was not disappointed. I think Instant Attraction stories are fun to read, and will be reading the rest in the series.
Board Stiff is a ravishing tale of primal need and the instant attraction that sparks between a man and a woman. John is a man that knows what he wants, and he wants Elizabeth. He has never experienced the raging inferno of need that engulfs him when he sees her for the first time. Since his last relationship he has strictly been a no strings attached kind of guy.
Elizabeth can't help but feel John's eyes on her. He is like a magnet that draws her to him. When their eyes collide the world around them just slips away. When he bursts into her office and makes his intentions known, she is not sure is she wants to slap him or tackle him.
From the first glance to the first heated kiss this story will seduce you, make you weak at the knees, arouse you, and set you free. The beauty, the simplicity of desire, and the instinctual need of two people coming together and completing one another shines through in this erotic story.

Oh so short! Whole book takes place over a single day.
The atttraction between John and Elizabeth is instant, powerful and hot off the charts. When they come together, its equally powerful and hot off the blooming page!!
I'm not usually a fan of the insta-love thing, or of such short books, but THIS one was just what I needed after a heavy book. A perfect hangover cure, whether a book induced one, or a real one!
Short, sweet, sexy.

Board Stiff is a 32 page novella that is part of the Taking Advantage series. I'll forgo my usual "setting the scenes" type introduction since the book description pretty much sums it up.
Board Stiff is a scorching erotic romance; a romance that starts with a meeting in a Board Room, and escalates to a hot and sexy romp. Neither main character, John or Elizabeth walk into a board meeting with anything on their minds but the roles they play for the businesses involved John as head of Dorsey Construction, and Elizabeth, corporate council in the legal department for Advantage Insurance Agency. However, one look between them as Elizabeth sets out to present a case involving a lawsuit and they are goners. This is an excellent depiction of love (and lust) at first sight.
The story ends before we get to see the budding relationship between Elizabeth and John, but it ends on a rather good note. We read what the author intended us to read - hot, sensual sex of the most primitive and satisfying kind. Work ethics are tested and limits are pushed but in this little world created by Jessica Jayne, and any possible repercussions at Dorsey Construction and Advantage IA are pushed aside.
Jessica's writing style is very fluid and easily read. The novella itself is short, to the point, and developed only in the areas necessary to this particular plot ~ backgrounds on Elizabeth and John. No crazy filler that just jams up the plot ~ Just pure, sexual thoughts and feelings between the two main characters. The secondary characters are necessary or the novella would just be silly, but they are well placed and fulfill their duties to Board Stiff.
I plan to attend the next Board Meeting in "Board Approved" (Taking Advantage, Book 2) when it's released.
